I learned about the 5 themes and I understand them pretty well, I was kind of confused about the latitude, longitude, absolute location but now I think I get it, after reading the book. -katrina kerns

  22. I was shocked but pleasantly surprised on my first day of High School. I had been expecting cruel, unpleasant, and mean teachers, along with a heavy load of homework. However, my two teachers, Ms. Heukrodt and Mr. Johnson, were light, fun, and enjoyable, and the homework amount wasn't nearly as bad as i had expected. I am also very interested in both of my subjects. I greatly enjoyed my first day of High School, despite myself being sick, and am sure that many happy memories will ensue.

Overall, the day went great and I'm very happy I chose to come to summer school.

  26. on the first day of summer school i didn't know what to expect. i was so nervous because i have never been to a public school before. i didn't no how the teachers and students were going to be. i was pleasantly surprised that what i have heard was wrong, everybody was worm and welcoming, and the teachers were willing to help us. i was expecting to get five hours worth of homework each night and for it to be extremely hard, but i am glad that so far its not as demanding as it was portrayed to be. i was glad to see so many people that i knew and happy to be going to school with so many familiar faces. overall the first day of summer school went well.

  33. Well, you told us to post about today so I guess I will. Well, today and somewhat yesterday we learned the 5 themes of geography. I find it interesting how each year we start history with the 5 themes. I'm not saying thats a bad thing, its actually good review because I forgot. However, I didn't completely forget. I think each year I start remembering more and more. History is one of my most favorite subjects.

  37. Okay, today was good. The homework wasn't very hard. It was weird seeing all those projections becuase I've never studied them before but not bad. There was the Peters, Robinson, Interupted, and Mercator. I also hadn't known before what climate depended on; it depends on elevation and location. - katrina kerns

  38. Besides the smell, the first day of summer school was enjoyable. I learned about the five themes of geography; location, human-environment interaction, place, movement, and region. After finding the definitions, I realized each term was connected to one another in the sense that the majority of people are influenced by these five topics and these five topics influence the majority of humans. Although reading isn't my passion, the sections in the book about geography were likable. In conclusion to my first day at Agoura, attending summer school, I like the discussions we have about geography and culture. I look forward to obtaining tons of knowledge about geography this summer in your class!

This summer school shall be another chapter in my novel I call "Education".
